1976 ads & 1990s TV series in my town

What’d you buy from this section of classifieds from a 1976 Iowa newspaper? I want a 1976 Caprice or 1976 El Camino!

In the 1990s, my home town, Elgin IL, provided exterior scenes for an ABC sitcom:

My hometowns claim to fame is it was the home of the 20th us president... James Garfield. In fact his mansion (now a museum) is about three miles from my house.

One of the neighborhoods where I grew up "claim to fame" is that it was also
the neighborhood where John Wayne Gacy lived.
He lived less than 4 blocks from the grade school I attended.
Most of my childhood friends/classmates knew him, attended his barbecues (where he dressed as a clown), etc...
One lived directly behind him, others lived as close as a few doors down.

Not a lot of visitors, when I was in grade school we took a field trip there. Squires castle is cool also, near me.
