Finding tires Empty Finding tires

Post by 77camino Sat May 28, 2016 7:59 pm

Has anyone else had a hard time finding white lettered 15 inch tires. Most all of the major tire manufacturers don't seem to make them anymore. I have found a few off brands at the discount tire shops. I also found BF Goodrich's online.

15" tires are becoming more scarce as time goes on. The bfg are pretty standard for old muscle cars.

Summit racing sells them. I lucked out and got four very new cooper cobras on the vette wheels I bought.

I wish they made a 15" radial with the following specs,

28" diameter,
10"-11" tread,
max 12" section width,
100-300 treadwear rating
TO USE WITH A STICK CAR instead of going with a drag radial.

Is that asking too much ? LOL.

Are you looking for some specific letters?

If not, look for BF Goodrich Radial T/A or Cooper Cobra Radial G/T. They have white letters and are popular amongst vintage cars enthusiasts, and are available with 15 inch rims.

I bought BF Goodrich. They use to have one side white letters, one side without.
