New Member with a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham
Hi everyone,
Just joined the site from the New York Area. I bought a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham with t-tops which was the first new car I bought while attending college. I found the car on eBay a few months ago and I am trying to re-create the first new car I ever owned. The car has its original 403 engine with about 62,000 miles on it. The former owner restored the car impeccably but left it all black with no emblems, trim, nothing. I have added the emblems, exterior trim, pin stripe, new vinyl roof, interior carpet, had all the interior plastics refinished, new seat belts, new package tray, and a few odds and ends to make it as original looking as possible. The car has a TH400 tranny installed, 4 wheel disk brakes, and many other mechanical upgrades. It rides and drives great and looking forward to enjoying it for years. I would like to have my dashboard re-done sometime in the future as it has a few small cracks in it, and would like to get a period correct AM-FM Radio. The car is black with the tan brougham interior with a saddle colored landau vinyl roof.
Looking forward to meeting some of you and enjoying our 73-77 GM A body cars.
Thanks for having me!
Happy Holidays!
Sal

Welcome! Can't wait to see pics of your ride! Sounds like a beauty! The '77 will always be a favorite of mine as I, too, longed for a new one back then. Unfortunately, being a broke college grad and seeking gainful employment that year in my field of study, things just weren't favorable for buying a new car.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Trying to post some pictures but having problems. Guessing you can only post pics from a server or public site. I will try and get some pictures posted soon

You can host pics straight from your computer. The icon on the lower left, above the box your text appears in when you reply, allows you to choose a file to host.
Once you choose the file, select enter all, then send all. Then you can preview to see what it looks like. If you like the result, post it.
Welcome to the site, and I also look forward to seeing pics of your car.

Pictures of my 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham
Thanks for the tips on posting pictures. Here are a couple of shots of my car. The first one is my original 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham taken back in the day. The second one is of the car I bought a few months ago, and the last one is what it currently looks like.
Everyone have a great Holiday Season!

Re: New Member with a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham
Welcome. Beautiful car. That is my favorite year for a cutlass. Dad bought a new Delta 88 in 77, but I really wanted him to buy the cutlass instead. Are those 80’s cutlass wheels? I think they look great.

Re: New Member with a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Brougham
I believe they are wheels from the 80's and I think they look good too. I am going to leave them for now as I like the look and stance. Thanks for the compliment
