I have been working and making progress. I am
Waiting on a spring end former and the seat can go back together. I’ll work on documenting the modifications I intend to make. I did weld up the frame and used a 3/8 spring nut with a washer tacked on the face for the stripped strike - pics to come. I have a new NOS clock I found cheap and rebuilt my climate control so the dash will be in nice working order. I am converting my mirrors to power so I should be busy over the next few weeks...
I found a strike and retractors at montemania.com Great source new/used parts there for sure!

I welded in a spring nut and added springs. Almost done, trying to find buttons for the seat backs since the current cover doesn’t have them.

PUI is sending me the buttons! Does anyone have the measurements? I want to make sure I get them in the correct spot!

Got everything back together and it is nice not sitting on the floor! Can anyone measure the seat back button placement and let me know where they end up? I wrote PUI a letter since the cover the PO chose didn’t have them. They sent them to me and I’d like to get them in the correct spot...

The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, I might uncover mine and get it out of the garage. Where do you want it measured from?

I measured from the middle seam up to the center of the buttons, it was a little under 8 inches. It’s deceiving with the roll of the seat so I taped a string to the seat and got a measurement of 7 5/8 from seam to center of button.

Awesome!! Thanks so much!! That is great thinking and information! I am currently enjoying the weather and pulling the exhaust manifolds to replace the flange gaskets. It’s great to be outside again!! Enjoy this weather!

Sure looks like they made it cheap, as they are only using half of the springs the frame can handle. I bet upscale Olds, Buick has more springs.
