Hey there,
New to site.
I have a 1973 Chevy S/s 454 ( Y code in the Vin) Turbo 400 Auto A/c bench seat column shift. All # matching. Was from North Carolina ( Y code in the Vin)
Having it painted ( code 41 / 41 ) and can not get exact stripe color that was used. Its ready for the booth now
I was told Mason 01 Ram silver is real close ?

Any help would be great appreciated.

Only two stripe colors were available for 73. And the stripe color should match the rally wheel rim color as well. WA3024 is the light argent silver. If you need the code for the dark silver let me know. I'll check the color chart.

GM WA2779 also cross references with PPG GM 8568 argent silver.

It was my understanding, the darker colors got the light silver stripe and the lighter color cars got the darker stripe.
HAs anyone heard of this as well.

Your welcome. Ive never seen a dark car with a dark stripe. I dont think it would show up as well. Would have to check the gm heritage center to see if it mentions anything about what colors got what color stripe. Mine is original dark blue with the light stripe.
