2010 Oldsmobile Homecoming car show - 56k, don't even bother.
Turned out to be a great day for a car show. About 78 degrees, strong breeze, occasional cloud cover... great day to be outside in general.
I won a die grinder with my door ticket, found a drivers side front grill at the swap meet to replace my cracked one, was given a ride on a 1911 Oldsmobile curved dash car and met an extremely eccentric '24 Oldsmobile owner.
I counted at least 20 cars that puked coolant when they parked... it was ridiculous. In fact, my car was one of the few that didn't leak SOMETHING on the pavement, probably because I drive it all the damned time, haha
Fun day.
Last year, they had the chassis at the show with no body on it.
Sweet tunes.
This guy has some money. His 74 Cutlass is restored, nut and bolt.
I really want a 4-4-2.
Mine
El-Cutlass (really creative name there)
Want.

There's a very strong sense of pride among people who live in Lansing to be the hometown of Oldsmobile.
One of the few that WEREN'T stolen at OCA Nationals last year.
The Vader Cutlass
I guess 2 Hours on the Hyundai (the last slot in the book) last year and won $50 since it ran longer. I forgot to register this year.
RICE!

The one I rode in.
That's all for this year, folks. A few hundred cars, wish I could have shot them all but I was more interested in looking at them than taking pictures.

Very nice pics. I was very surprised to see the 1949 or 50 Olds sedan delivery. I have never seen one before, that I remember. Usually business places bought cheap Chevies or Fords instead of going upscale to the Olds. JB

Wow I'm loving the pics. Thanks! It looks like there was A LOT of really nice cars there & it would be hard to choose a favorite, possibly the 71 Convertible though. All of those H/Os in one spot would have gave me a heart attack for sure & I've always been intrigued by the Vader Cutlass as well. If I ever build a G Body, it would mimic the Vader.
