Re: just flipped the handle on my tailgate to the inside
well they are hollow on the inside and it is very easy to cut a section out for the other exhaust

Re: just flipped the handle on my tailgate to the inside
Terrible advice.
DO NOT CUT THE CROSSMEMBER.
Unless you have the ability to weld a plate on it, you will weaken it. Do it right and get one from a junk yard or buy a new one.
I also see you have a 73.... No Cats in 73.

And if not, I have one.
BTW, What are you going to do about the big hole in the back of your tail gate?

haha we already went over this, for now im gonna hammer it smooth as much as i can then put some kind of screen or newspaper behind it and bondo over the hole.
thats just a temporary fix til i can get a welder then i am gonna just cut the whole part out and weld in a piece of sheet metal.

Re: just flipped the handle on my tailgate to the inside
the only bad thing about having the handle on the inside is when your trying to load something heavy in the bed you gotta lift it over the handle lol.
and you cant sit on it
and you cant sit on it

Use an air powered crimping tool. Eastwood has a hand powered model that I bought, but I do not know if it will work on something as thick as a tailgate. JB

Its a corvette based tail panel and you could install like a trucks roll pan and look really killer
