Blew up the trans in the 70
Man who knew a 500hp 396 would blow up a th400.... Sucks big time as it was the original trans. SOOO anyone whos got a th400 behind anything with power needs to upgrade the intermediate clutch pack snap ring before it breaks the case lugs as in my case. I wasnt even racing when they broke. I was crusing down the road and it sounded like a grenade as the rpms went through the roof.

tko600 is rated to 600ft pounds should hold up pretty well.
