Pics of ones I used to have
I searched for a thread on pic of previous 73-77's but, all I found was on all cars some of us used to have. Lets see em if'n you got em. If not, here are mine anyhow lol.
Had the 74 back in 95 when I was stationed in NC at Camp Lejeune. Blew the motor a week before I was discharged and was moving to a duplex in TN with nowhere to store or work on it so, I had to leave it behind. Second was a 76 I picked up the next year in TN, convinced to trade it in a year later for a family car with a newborn on the way. That was the last one I would have until the 75 I got this past October. Like many of you, I had others but, no pics of em.

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
My first 76. It was car #4 or 5 back when I was just 17 years old. I ran around with Ansen slots most of the time, but unfortunately I only have a couple of pics of this one & they aren't with the wheels on it.
She was stolen from me in Tulsa, OK.

This 73 was owned by Dan (BlackChevelleSS) then myself. It now resides in Claremore, OK to my knowledge.

I've also had a 70 Chevelle, technically two 71 Chevelles (one was pretty much a shell though), a 72 Cutlass S, & now have another 76 base model & splitting a 77 parts car with 74Malibu383, but you just wanted previous G3's. My Grandfather had a 74 Grand Prix, my mom had an Elky when I was a kid, both parents had matching 72 Cutlass Supremes, other grandfather had a Cutlass & Regal, my cousin has had a few Cutlasses, my father-in-law had a sweet 74 Elky that he recently sold. I'm sure there's more if I think about it. I'll try to dig up some old pics of the GP if I ever get around to it.

This got moved and I couldn't find it...lol. Yeah, I was curious about G3 pics. I also started collecting some as a way to help motivate me cause I know it will be along time before my car gets finished. If there even is such a thing as finished. I dig that 73

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
She broke down in Tulsa. I parked it in the Walmart parking lot thinking it would be safe until I could get it towed home. Went back the next day & it was gone. They told me a tow truck picked it up, but the towing place that Walmart referred me to didn't have it. Or at least they wouldn't let me know that they had it. The desk clerk couldn't even confirm if there had been a black Chevelle towed in there, so I assume it was stolen. Probably by the tow truck driver or someone imitating the company.

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
That sucks...
Mine was stolen right out of my driveway at night. Only mark left was the bark was skinned off of the small tree across the street from my driveway.

Yeah, that's BS Rago. I've never had that happen but, I feel bad for you. It's sad that the lack of integrity going round no longer surprises me.

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
JRB, you're new here and never saw my '74 Chevelle Malibu AKA "Sue". She was my first car(Summer 2006)...my dad and I restored the engine bay all winter. Did most of the interior in the spring. Stolen out of my driveway two days shy of having it for one year.

In every way, my Monte Carlo is a better car than that Chevelle was. Even before I got the Chevelle, I wanted a Monte Carlo, but couldn't find one. But it was still my first car, and my dad and I worked on it together. I could have had that car 20 years from now and say "My dad and I restored this together when I was 15." I got the Monte Carlo just a couple of weeks after the Chevelle was stolen.

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
Kyle, I am curious as to why you said your Monte is better in every way than your Chevelle was. Care to be more specific? I suppose the Monte has more sound deadening material in it and the interior may have better materials in it, but except for the extra space in front of the engine they are basically the same car. JB

Re: Pics of ones I used to have
More original, original miles, numbers matching, no rust, full original documentation, history of ownership. Things of that nature.
None of which were applicable to the Chevelle.
