Got some wheels today
Got 4 15x8.5 and 2 15x10. the 8.5's all have curb rash and need a REAL good cleaning. One of the fins on the 10's is chipped but, for what I payed for em, I'm not complaining. I didn't think I'd ever find a halfway decent set of 8 1/2s. It was either these or get a set of rallys...lol

Re: Got some wheels today
I dig em, Im not sure I'll be able to use the 10's. Originally, I was going to do 275/60's on the rear and 255/60 on the front on a set of 15x8 wheels. The guy I got em from said they were all 3 7/8 BS and my quick check basically looks like 4 on those 10s. His add was the 2 15x10 and 2 15x8.5, I mentioned that I wanted to get a complete set of 15x8.5 and so he threw the other 2 in mainly cause I knew what the turbine wheels were and that I like em...lol

Re: Got some wheels today
I love them wheels. I bet they make so much air turbulance at speed that you would blow a mustang off the road just from the air from the wheels. Why don't you just give the wheels to me. JB

Re: Got some wheels today
Got the rimscleaned up and found some lightly used 275/60 tires for it. Of course, it'd be better if I could drive the car but I'm workin on it lol. Anyhow, here they are on her

Re: Got some wheels today
The wheels look good, but you should buy a set of springs to raise that rear end up, lol. Maybe it's just the picture, but it appears that the front end sits higher than the back.
Looks like you nailed the backspacing just perfect though.

Yeah, I didn't notice till I put those wheels on. It'll drive me crazy until I get a new set. I don't want a rough ride or jacked up way high, suggestions?

Re: Got some wheels today
I got a good set of stockers. Here's the only decent pic I have of them installed, but the rear sat about 1/2" higher then the front.

I went with some heavy duty King Kong solid as a rock springs for my car so these are no longer needed. If you are interested, then shoot me a PM.
OTOH, if you did want a solid ride or just to sit around 2" higher than you currently sit (about 1-1.5" front factory), I'd suggest JC Whitney. They sell some springs that are 4" lift springs for 68-72 A Bodies, but with our added weight & already longer factory springs, they only give a little lift with some added stiffness. I hear that 91-96 Caprice rear springs will have a similar effect due to their added weight. 77-90 rear springs should be close to factory ride height.

Re: Got some wheels today
I ended up getting a set of springs from Summit. They were a set of springs from Global West (I think...) that lowered my car about an inch and a half. I wanted a look where the car sat level spring wise and the tires gave it a bit of a rake. That, and the springs were only a few bucks more over factory style replacements and still ride pretty well.
