Tire still rubs going around corners. Gonna the pipes off in front of the axle.

After looking at the picture of the rear tire i'm pretty sure that you wont be able to get the clearence to fit around that exhaust tip.  You could possibly run a wheel spacer to move the tire outboard a little....not the ideal way, but maybe just enough.

Though about that too.

Thinking about these coming out in front of the rear wheel.

I think you would have to redo more than you think to have it dump in front of the tire.  When cuda aar's had that set up they used mufflers that entered and exited from the same end.

No, but if you look at where the muffler exits currently, it would not be practical for before tire dumps.

your so close to the rear of the car anyways why not just bring it to the rear on the side, or even try the dual tipped tip's like for the Trans Am in the day, I have always wanted to try them on our type of car, just no luck finding any used ones to try it

I wonder if I put an 8 inch wheel on there if that would push the tire out?

Only thing that will "push the tire out" is changing the backspace of the wheel and / or adding spacer's to push it out

Guess I need some spacers then to push my 7 inch wheels out then. All I need is like a 1/2 to an inch. Any recommendations?

Here's some 1/2" spacers; I've bought stuff from these guys before:

http://www.ezaccessory.com/5_x_4_1_2_5_Spacer_1_2_Thick_p/602xl.htm

The issue you may run into is that you may need longer wheel studs. Another options would be a wheel adapter, but those are minimum 1.25" thick.

With stock sized lugs would there still be enough thread if I add a half inch spacer for my wheels?

Also how long is a stand lug for a 74 chevelle?

If you are still running the rally wheels, there should be enough.

I think I will get a set and try them. My tires are rubbing worse since the new engine install, we must have bent them or something.
