No, but I'm sure I'll see him around at other shows this year. If I remember, I'll get pics then.

Re: The Spotted Thread
This 76/77 GMC Sprint came in and got gas at the station I work at today... then it wouldn't start so we had to push it out of the way. Its for sale, but the guy wants way to much for it. He wants $3000 firm. The rear rockers are rusting out, the paint is shot, the interior is dirty and he has about 2 inches of dirt in the bed.
Then a few hours later this 76 Monte Carlo came in for gas. Its listed on craigslist for $1500.

1973 Grand Prix
I like this thread!
Finally found something worth putting up- It's for sale @ a touch over $14,000 in Shrewsbury, MA. Look closely @ the bumpers- impact strip has been impacted, LOL! I took a quick walk around and the top has pulled away on the top of the roof along the molding. All plastic bumper fillers are there & have been painted flat black (not matching). Missing the small decorative clips around the side of the vinyl top moldings. Black vinyl interior- Perfect...console & "sport" buckets (non swivel). 120 MPH speedo but no tach (stupid a$$ 3" clock). Suposedly- "Low-Low" milage but forgot to check the odom.
Overall a very nice car in good condition despite the "small" body issues. Straight body and perfect window belt moldings (with doors closed). Did not look at anything else on the car. This is my favorite year of the 73-77 GP's.

Re: The Spotted Thread
For $14K, that GP had better be perfect! Ever try to find a nice front rub strip for one of these? Suppose not...but trust me, it ain't easy! Nice looking in black, though!
As for the white '76 Monte...looks like it might be a good buy. Guy with the El Camino (that wouldn't restart) is not partaking in reality!

Its a $300 Nos part all day if 'sealed'/boxed. Hard to find for sure (not that I need one but I've seen them here and there).

Re: The Spotted Thread
The El Camino with the rusty rockers and dirt in the bed, has likely a lot of rust in the structure under the bed, and maybe even the frame back there. (been there, & scrapped one like that) The guy needs a reality check I believe......

Another person that ordered a car with Rally gauges and thought they were getting a tach. If you wanted a tach in a Poncho during that era, you had to 'ask' for it. They're a rare find. No one was late in the '70's!! Hey, does that say SJ on the side? Too bad they're asking so much.

Yeah, I had to scrap my '80 El Camino... factory 4-speed for that reason. The compartment under the bed, body mount supports, floor pans... gone.
I rarely ever see any G3's in my area. I drove my Malibu for two years and the only thing I saw like it was a '76 Malibu station wagon - Hugger Orange wearing Cragars.

Why do those Pontiac rims & tires fill that wheel well up so much better than my Chevy? I like the stance. Low & Slow...

Saw this one at the local cruise in. You may recognize it. I posted a pic from a car show I was at last year. I was able to talk to the owner this time. Told him about this forum and got some info on the car. He bought it some years ago and did a frame up. Trust me this one is gorgeous. The only thing not original to the car is the 454 although the vin says it is a 454 he bought it without the motor. The new 454 is from a truck. VERY NICE!

And, too bad that '76 and that green '73 weren't around last year when I was there.

Here's something you don't see every day (at least in person).....
An Auburn Boat Tail Speedster. This is a pre WWII car (I think). Man I got chills just standing next to it...almost blew a gasket taking the pics!

Re: The Spotted Thread
I decided to take a ride in the Elco out a fewthis back country roads and spotted this;
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
[img][/img]
Sign says 54,900 miles. Inside is real nice. Has small amount of rust bubbling under the vinyl below the rear window.

Re: The Spotted Thread
Ran across these at the weekly cruise at Quaker Steak & Lube. First is a 4-speed, second appeared to be a factory W-30. Was the W-30 still a package in 73-77?
