My '76 Monte Carlo is my first car. I've owned her for 12 1/2 years. Saddens me that she went from being in good condition to needing a restoration.

The 76 Monte was my first. It was painted once, and while it looks ok in this picture, it was terrible. My dad didnt even bother putting all the trim and emblems back on. The second picture is after I started stripping it down for paint. Notice the original yellow still underneath!

Shotty roof repair work in 1987 and 12 years of daily driving with a vinyl top is what's happened to the '76. She's now engineless (350 is now in my '86 Grand Prix) and in storage waiting for something to be done... which will be whenever I can get some money to do it.

my first car i had given to me ... never drove it tho was a 49 dodge wafarer 2dr ... then i drove my dads 90 sunbird convertable until he gave it to me ... while i was working on my 85 VW cabriolet, converted from gas to diesel and from auto to 5spd alota work but its pritty well done just needs some paint n body work lol

My first car is in my avatar. '73 SS, 350, 4spd, 3.42 rear. No p/s, no a/c. Bought it in '82 and still have it.

I worked tobacco and mowed grass untill i had enough to get a 63 VW bug. I customized it and put a 914 engine it in. Wrecked it and got my 1st 68 Camaro with the insurance money.

My first car was a 1977 Chevelle Junkyard Dog, which I still have it.
The car has gone through multiple transformations, and hopefully will go through another one in the future.
It started with a 305, then 350, and finally has Olds 455.
I got all the parts for a serious 454 transplant, but I like the strange twist of the Olds engine.
SO I have been gathering more speed parts for a stout rebuild of the 455.
Here it is in it’s present hibernation.

Maybe life will slow down, money will fall from the sky, and I can finish every vehicle project in the shop.

My first car was a 1966 Alfa Romeo GTV. Very sporty and leaked oil about as quickly as you could pour it in. Traded it after a few months for a Jaguar XJ and we went downhill from there...

My first car I bought wrote off my dad and I rebuilt write offs back in the '70s for side money. It was in the lot for 5 months before they let me have it was a '74 GTX and what a good/bad car to get as a first car. Later found out the previous owner had sunk almost 6k into the engine alone,once we got the body straightened out we thought the motor was messed till you stepped on it then it went like a raped ape. Had 232 rear gears got clocked going 155mph it lasted 3 months. Who knew you couldn't really drive like Smokey and the Bandit and the duke boys? The shop that did the motor said it was cranking out just over 678 hp.
