Crossmember Empty Crossmember

Does any one know or has any one tried using a 2nd gen A-body cross memebr on these cars i remember under my dads 67 GS The frame looks very similar other than its boxed and mine is c-channel. just figured id check it out see what the difference is

why would you want to try using a crossmember from an older car, when the dual hump crossmember from a 73 or 74 A body is a direct bolt in?

money is why i can get crossmembers from other cars for cheap sorry im a broke kid $200 is a lot of money when i am the only one working

if anyone charges you more than $20 for the proper crossmember they are ripping you off.
i don't know how many of those i've thrown away over the years.

I will take 3 dozen at that price as well, the ones on Ebay go for 100 buxs all day if not more
