What was the factory rally wheel width for 76?
My Malibu came with the 15X? corvette style rally wheel. I am trying to get some used tires to get it driving again, but don't know off hand if they are 15X6 or 15X7 from the factory. I assume they are 6's.

I know the Montes came with 15x7's...and, same with my '76 Laguna. Am certain that was the case with Malibus, too. It's stamped on the inside of the rim...visible when you remove the tire.

My '76 and '77 El Caminos came with 15 X 7 if that's any help....and my parts catalog for Elcos and Sprints show only 15 X 7, and no 15 X 6.....

I bought some new ones from Summit, 7 X 15, which are copies of the original rally types, by Wheel Vintiques....for my Malibu, and a couple to match the originals on my Elco project.

15x7 on the 73-77s. I have never seen anything different from the factory. 8" were Corvette only if I remember right.

ok Thanks. It looks like they are probably 7's. That opens up my potentials for tires for it. Ultimately, I would like to go with a 215/70-15 and a 275/60-15, but I knew I needed to get 8's for the rear. For right now, I just want to get the prehistoric 235/70-15's off before they pop.
