Help me choose!
I am thinking 18x9s all around.  What do you guys think?  I can't visualize what size tire I want on there.  I know I don't want a lot of side wall, but I don't want it to look like I am just running on rim either.

I'm thinking grey.  I like black but for the overall look you are going for I think grey would be better.

Whenever I get my laptop back up and going I will do a nice rendering of it from different angles.

What size tire would you go with on that? I am thinking 18x9s all around. What do you guys think? I can't visualize what size tire I want on there. I know I don't want a lot of side wall, but I don't want it to look like I am just running on rim either.

I want to go to Discount tire. I found out they have a store in Bowling Green Ky. I want to check out what they have see if they have the wheels and tires on display.

I like the top ones as well 275/45 that'll be a nice sidewall, anything less and you'll feel every bump on the road!

You have to make sure your tire diameter is close to factory or your speedo will be way off. i8 inch is a good tire size, I would not go any larger. Just remember the more tire you get the higher the sticker shock will be. JB

I like your renderings but is the ride height realistic?

For reference, I just measured my stock ride height Malibu with rear 15x8 275/60-15 and from the quarter panel lip to center of the wheel is 13 1/2 inches (with about 1 inch of tire tucked in the wheel well). Your rendering shows about a third of the wheel tucked up there. It could be lowered maybe 2-3 inches before the tire starts hitting the wheel housing. You would have to notch the frame and move/remove wheel housings to come anywhere near lowering much more.

Is your car this low or is it a future goal?

Thanks -

Mostly just for the rendering to see what it could look like. I don't intend for it to be that low. I want to do a more realistic rendering when I get my laptop back up and going. I know you have probably seen a few of these before and I hope the owners don't mind me using them as examples. All awesome btw!

Not sure if mine will every be this nice, but love the stance and how the wheel tucks on Brians car. His wheels are a little bigger than mine will be so it will be a little different, but he says he has no issues with rubbing if I remember correctly.

I like this car a lot as well and believe these are 18's if I remember correctly.

This one may be a member too, I can't remember for sure, but I like the stance here as well. I think these are 17's on this one.

I like all of these. I am thinking the look I have started with my rendering. Using one of the wheel choices I have shown tucking as much wheel and tire possible, but still giving me full driveability that is the goal.

drop the 5 spoke size down to the multi spoke and little more meats under it, I like the 5 spokes better but the huge size and how far its tucked kills the look your after

I like the classic 5 spokes, the other rims look like a Ford wheel like on a Shelby Cobra. nitto nt555 285/40/18 is a good 27" tire or a 295/45/18 is a little over 28" tall and will probably be too tall to lower that much.

I like the lower drawing with the gray powdered bumpers.
