Deal on Moog springs
I was wanting to go with a little more heavy duty spring for the rear of my '74. I decided to go with Moog 6381 which are what would be in a g3 station wagon. I looked around and $80.00 / $100.00 seemed to be the norm until I looked on amazon. $17.52...free shipping if you spend $35.00 or more. Just thought I'd pass this along.

What did you have in there before? I have that part number on my wall at 198 rate springs. But I was also considering the 5387 at 157 rate over the stock 125 which tended to sag in the rear.

Re: Deal on Moog springs
I have stock light duty replacements. I am hoping to get appx a inch height (from where it sits now)

Re: Deal on Moog springs
Are you planning to raise the rear? Did you mean that the springs were 17.52?

Re: Deal on Moog springs
Yes the springs cost $17.52 + shipping (about $35.00 total) I would like the rear a tad higher as it looks almost lower than the front. I can't lower the front anymore since my exhaust is four inches off the ground now.

Re: Deal on Moog springs
You could use this chart to match what you currently have in the back to what you ordered. Gives you installed height and spring rates.
Love this chart.

That's an excellent chart -- that should be in a sticky here.

Mine were a 1" drop spring for the rear. They were from BellTec and were about 100.dynchel wrote:Yes the springs cost $17.52 + shipping (about $35.00 total) I would like the rear a tad higher as it looks almost lower than the front. Moog is offering a $50.00 rebate (gotta spend $250) through advanced auto. Plus if you buy online @ Advanced & pick-up @ your local store- they have a code for 15% off ($50 min purchase) & you get a $25.00 coupon towards a future purchase. This is through tomorrow only FYI.

IDK if maybe amazon will be a better deal, (w/o all the BS like redeeming a rebate) just thought I'd share that info.
