He has some obvious choices here (Aztec, K-Car) But this guy apparently hates everything.

59 Fairlane? 58 Thunderbird? C'mon man.

They didnt make ugly cars until the 80s . Some better looking than others but none were truly ugly

The thing is they should at least be a little daring with their designs which they just dont do anymore. The mfg's just try to make everyone happy and not make a truly beautiful car. The stupid safety regs today ruin it too but the sheet metal on alot of cars could be better. Your average sedan looks like every other one in a parking lot today,dont get me started on color choices either. Silver or white or some kind of tan,yuck. I have 2 white cars too so Im guilty as well.

I saw this article too- was surprised @ no G3's on the list to be honest as most of these "car gurus" tend to put them down. The Aztec should have been #1 as well as some of the offspring they created like the Buick Rondesvous Barf

Yuh.

Chrysler was the only one in the last 20 years or so to actually let "car guys" design a car.

I remember how controversial the 90s Ram PU was when it first came out, along with the 300. Both ended up as home runs.

I'm twisted enough I can eventually appreciate SOMETHING about a car after a while. I didn't hate Gremlins, Granadas or Pacers back in the day, and now that some time had passed, I kinda like seeing them.
I still dislike most late 80s and 90s GM cars though.

The guy probably didnt even know about G3s . Its al matter of opinion any way. Im sure the original designers didnt think they were ugly. Paul,hate to say it but you probably arent doing any car justice anyhow What a Face

Yep! The Yugo's definitely make the fugly list Mali.Cap'n, I actually do have a strange attraction to the GremlinX. 401 cubes in a lime green or purple Gremlin? Hell yeah! I hafta say though,other than the Malibu's and Regals the 80's definitely pegged the putz meter on car design.(Fer sure! Knarly dude!Hoser! Gag me with a spoon!) Thank God we all survived that crap..Valley girl my azz...

Yep,hafta say I couldn't figure out what was going on with the 79-early 80's Monte's.It was like the boys in GM's design department couldn't decide,"Do we make it round or square here?"

I dated a chick that got her grandma's 79 Monte back in 86 or 87. It was a nice car inside & it drove good but I couldn't get over the exterior styling, needless to say we went out in my 77 Cutty & left hers in the driveway. Wink

I don't remember any official stuff from VW, but I sure remember some god-awful "custom" jobs. Especially those ******* stinger tail pipes.

Ugh! That actually looks better than some I remember,the ones I saw had only changed the front end from the windshield forward and kept the original front fenders but had a ridiculous looking front grill/nosepiece that jutted out front like a dormer on a house.It actually looked like somebody stuck a doghouse between the front fenders,I mean WTF?!
