Re: transmission?
that would depend on the motor that was installed in the car at time of manufacture

Re: transmission?
To my knowledge there was 3 transmissions available:
A 3 speed manual option M15 (probably 6 cylinder cars only) - 4,569 sold
A TH350 for smaller displacements option M38 -567,000 sold
A TH400 for large displacement engines/tow package vehicles, optional, etc. option M40 - 4,263 sold
There are no records of how many of each were sold in a specific combination, so these # are total 1975 Chevelle options, not just Laguna. Hope this helps.

Re: transmission?
Hence the reason I put (probably only 6 cylinder cars). No use trying to find one with a V8, they seem to be rare.
Are you talking about your Laguna or another car? Lucky.

Re: transmission?
Well, I am too old to know what a 6.6 is, but my 74 Elky came with a 400 cube small block and a TH350 trans new from the factory. I still have the 400 with 43,000 original miles on it sitting in my garage. JB

Re: transmission?
Crawl under the car & look at the transmission pan.
If it looks like a square with one corner cut off, it's a TH350.
TH400 kind of looks like it should be the shape of a state or something, lol. I believe it also has 2 dimples in the bottom of the pan.

Re: transmission?
About half way down the page at this link http://www.400raptor.com/ you will find trans oil pans for the 350 and 400. That will show you what shape to look for. JB

I think the th400 pan looks like a boat
