My 1973 Chevelle Malibu
Well these are old pics as its now running and on the road but ill post em up anyway.
Its got a 454 in it right now with all the AC removed and a TH250C trans
My plans are to build a 350 thats strong and gets good gas mileage and drop in a A833OD 4 speed Manual trans. Clean up the car, redo the interior, and reinstall the AC

Re: My 1973 Chevelle Malibu
I think my plans are changing on this one. Now thinking of caging it and making it a drag car... Will need serious slim fast diet tho.

Thinking about a 427 to a 496 depends on what crank I come up with

Re: My 1973 Chevelle Malibu

Re: My 1973 Chevelle Malibu
I like to rev and 496 will not rev to 7500 as easy as a 396/402 or 427
My 396 will hold 7K all day its power band is 6000-7500 which makes it slow with the 3.31 gears I got

Re: My 1973 Chevelle Malibu
That is the reason I built a 540 instead of a 572. My engine builder thought I was crazy, but the thing revs like a small block. JBBlackChevelleSS wrote:I like to rev and 496 will not rev to 7500 as easy as a 396/402 or 427

My woman made me build my G3. If it was not for her it would still be sitting there!

Mine just complains because I have too many projects. I rebut with the fact that if I were single still, I would have at least 3 more! At least I've narrowed it down to a 72 Cutlass (possibly traded to brother), a 76 Chevelle (technically my driver, but still a project), a Samurai, & now a 73 Chevelle. Before I had seven projects.
My plan to get her motivated is to tell her the 73 is hers when I finish & then give it Waaayyy too much power so she won't want it. Think it will work?

I did not know a 454 would fit in a Samurai. JB

Dan kept the 454
![Crying or Very sad](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_cry.gif)
The Sammy is getting a turbocharged 1.6L to turn those 33's. (top priority project)
The 76 has a wee-05, soon to have a mild 350 with fuel injection if I can score a TBI unit cheap enough & a 200-4R... Unless someone has a gen 3 motor to donate
![What a Face](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/fresse.png)
The Cutlass has a 455 that just needs some finishing up.
The 73 is going to end up with a roller cammed 383. After I find out how far I can push it, I might add some nitrous to the mix.
