Yeah the roof would be a bit scary indeed. Until one takes off the vinyl roof off, you just don't know what's under it.

I want that interior. Especially the front and rear door panels. Honestly for that money he should put new vinyl on the roof and a set of tires. It needs too much in my opinion to cheap put on tires so someone could drive it home.

Close look at the body seems to reveal some rust showing through. Likely a few grand $ to get fixed up as a decent driver...

The dash might be crack free. It would be fun to put a 4 speed in it. Of course keep the original automatic with the car.

In my opinion its to rusty and rough to Call it a driver. You could maybe Call it am restoration projekt. And as such it could be a Nice car when done, but i know when you first start diggin in to it. The money starts flowing and most af the parts on it now would be to rough to put back on a fresh paint job and before you know it everything is replaced and the projekt took an ugly turn. I would be interested at 4500 but 8700 is just about 4 grand to much. And i am also not sure his opinion on what Nice body panels is, because it looks like there is rust in the trunkpan so the floors are probley gone to.
