TH350 oil level
I know that may be this theme was discussed millions of times on all forums but I need to share this theme with you:D
I do everything like I was taught - filled in, drive around, P->D and back several times, than dip stick out on working engine - oil level ok (full hot). Dip stick is factory.
BUT after good heavy run in hot weather when I beleive oil gets much more hotter than after a simple drive around - level shows an inch higher than Full Hot.
Question.
Am I doing wrong checking oil level after calm drive around and trans doesn't have time to warm up oil to work temperature? (and so there is too much oil in trans)
Or is it OK that oil warms up much more during heavy accelerations and level goes up higher then Full Hot?
Vent is not leaking oil as I can see. Just don't want to kill trans with wrong level.
Thank you

Re: TH350 oil level
I set the level in the race car at the add a pint line to compensate for the heat.
