What u-joints are you using
I bought some Moog replacement U-joints but they don’t fit. Since I had to melt out the plastic from the stock ones I had to buy new ones because the old ones were shot. But now the new ones have the two inner snap rings to go in but if I get one side in then the other side is sticking out.
These are what I bought but don’t seem to fit. https://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/moog-ujoint-packagedeal842
I think I need these https://www.ecklerschevelle.com/chevelle-and-malibu-drive-shaft-universal-joint-with-oututside-lock-up-rings-front-or-rear-1973-1983.html

Caps sticking out too far usually indicates that some of the needles came loose and are in the ends of the caps. Did you remove the caps and make sure the needles are where they are supposed to be?

That’s a possibility, I’ll check when I get home from work tonight. Thank you

I use the spicer joints. Not sure who makes moog joints but a lot of them are just reboxed.
