I also recently departed from the swivel bucket club. Mine are pretty trashed, so I replaced them with 5th Gen Camaro SS power seats. That was quite a chore in fabrication. Also installed a JVC head unit and cut the dreaded DIN hole.
I'll reupholster the upper door panels and dye the lowers when I go back together with the doors.

You earned a brownie point for this tech tip for sure. Good manual window regulators are hard to find. Especially for the drivers side. This tip will save many of them from the trash can. Also, when I restored my 76 El Camino, it took well over a year to work out all the bugs and quiet down all the rattles and squeaks. Dynamat helped tremendously. But it sounded like a new car when you closed the doors when it was done. Well worth the effort.
