Re: brake booster
ive been working on it. trying to watch how much i do because after i get the tranny swapped ima start saving up and put a nice 400 with double hump heads in there. the engine thats in it now is a boat anchor out of a pickup the guy i bought the car off of put in there. he must of had some buddies who dirt tracked because its a 350 with 305 z28 heads. it readlines at 3500 but makes a whole helluva lot of torque and with the tall rearend it works

Re: brake booster
Nice job on the booster mod Billy ! I may need to do that also, since my Caddy engine is wide ! What model or part number is the booster you used ?? I know there are single & dual diaphragm boosters in the smaller sizes. Difficult to know just what combo will work, and what to use....

Re: brake booster
No Billy it's in my '75 El Camino project. Booster is a 11 inch, and only 1/2 " from the rocker/valve cover. Engine movement from torque may get it even closer......

Re: brake booster
one more thing when i was looking for a booster i noticed a lot of companies selling the booster for the 64-72 as a 64-73 and didnt carry one for the 74-77 this raised red flags because the 73-77 is the same.i tried a 64-72 booster but the mounting points are different and the angle of the pushrod is different and thats why 64-72 booster will not work. something to look out for thats why i went the route i went
