im getting tired of hearing people ask if im driving a nova. i wont lie the nova looks similar after 1975 but that means our cars came first, so shouldnt people say to the nova guys "Is That A Chevelle?"

another time i was in phoenix and this crack head asked if it was an oldsmobile i told him it was a chevelle and he got really upset and told me"well i think its an oldsmobile" i gotta tell ya some people just dont know when to quit

Everyone thinks my Monte is a 73. Even though I have "1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo" in the windshield.

I never got the chance to show my Chevelle to get asked anything crazy like that.

haha...i get asked......Does it have a turbo??? No , this is because im in hs and most kids my age are retards who drive nothing but stock turboed imports

Haha, I just got out of hs. I figured if I had a nice car like my 74 at my school, it woulda been stolen its second day there. Everyone at my school drove crappy old imports and pintos and thought it was cool to hear a 4- cylinder fall apart at 7,000 rpm for 10 minutes.... I drove a 4.3 powered S10! Laughing

Reminds me of a story one of the guys on one of my other MC boards once told. He was at a car show with his 4th gen MCSS ... when he was asked how he liked his Buick Turbo. He turned around and, without missing a beat, looked at the guy's older Mustang ... and asked him how he liked his Maverick.... Perhaps a bit mean, but I think the two had a good laugh over that one many years later ... he he.
