About 90% done. Still some grinding and some welding on bottom but ran out of gas. Trunk pan fit pretty well, has a different shape at rear of car and doesn't fit the support rails where rear 2 spot welds on each rail are located but not a biggie.

Painted with rust converter and is almost ready for the rust encapsulator before painting.

Fitting my tank, compressors, and solenoid bank and getting them mounted. Will still have plenty of room.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes a spare will fit in there plus luggage. Took almost 60 hours to do trunk pan with all the spot welds, cleaning, fitting and welding.

Plumb all the air stuff in then next is floor pans which shouldn't be as bad.

Little more progress. Added 2.5" to wheel well for minitub. Have one side roughed in. Now to finish the other side.

Rear frame was 4 linked with new rails moved inward. Only needed about 1" on the wheel well to fit a 335 tire so I should be good to go.

Impressive car! I'm 19 on March 31st, I bought my '73 on July 1st 2013 and the car is all mechanically sound with a fresh 355 that I put in to it. The car is in body work right now and I hope to get it done by the end of summer.

Good for you. Glad to hear the younger crowd still into older iron. Wish I was in body work right now, hope to be roughed in within another few months.

Out in the sunlight today. Sealed the finished floor pans and got some paint on them. Working on running airlines and getting all the tank, compressor, etc hooked up.

Few pics. Small stuff in the works now. Wiring all the air ride and getting all lines connected, plumbed and hidden. Should have the doors back on in a week or so. They are roughed in. Need to install new bushings for hinges.

Just went back through this whole thread... Very nice work man. Are you going to run ride height sensors? A buddy of mine has a 65 olds with a Ridetech set up, and the sensors sure are nice for long road trips.

I just went through the whole thread also.  What color are you going to paint it?  Chrome, painted bumpers, or Laguna nose?   Modern interior or more stockish? Just wondering.  John m.

Appreciate the comments. I have my colors picked. Just not sure of the scheme. I am scratch building my air bag stuff. I think there are better bags on the market than air ride stuff. I want to see how it rides and go from there as far as levelers go. Be a good starting point to make improvements. Here are my colors. Use semi flat clear to give it the look.

Think I'm gonna stay with black standard interior since already is a true SS and has power windows etx. Keep the SS grill and black it out. Bumpers not sure yet. Still a way away on those.

Few update pics. Door is hung and aligned. Drilling small cleco holes before removing is a great idea. Makes it easy to reinstall. All new front end bushings and balljoints. That is not on my list of fun or want to do again soon.  Need to put bags back on final time and button it up.

Few pics. Lots of little stuff done. Everything in front end is pretty well wrapped up. Picking the fenders up this weekend to install and fit. Getting close to roughing. All air ride stuff is wired and finished. Ready to drop a battery and try.

Wound up glassing inside of heater/AC box. Needs some filler and sanded smooth.
