Re: our new house with a soon to be parts haven....
started to do some little things around house and barn.
i made a shelf for 3 complete dashes.
the middle one is the original black one taken out of my 73 in 2002. still very nice with only 2 cracks.
a hardly noticeable one pass side
and of course the speaker grill
than i put up my dealer poster boards in the basement.
left to right/top to bottom

1975-1974-1973
(little) 1973

Re: our new house with a soon to be parts haven....
brought some more stuff home today.
found some visors boxed away
73 monte NOS front bumper, still in its blanket.
some doors and 2 rear ends
and yes one is a posi, 3:42 i think
and my 73 big oval port 454
as some of you know, someone stoled my original 454 for my monte. so i had to buy another motor. what i found by accident about 5 years ago was a 1973 chevelle 454. if i researched my numbers correctly.
T0802CWA
and part of the vin number 137(Z?)5000
if someone out there still has this chevelle with this vin number,i will sell it for (pinky to mouth)$1,000,000.00

Re: our new house with a soon to be parts haven....
OK so i took the cover off the posi. it is not a bolt in axel type,it has C-clips. dont know if i should be happy or cry.
the mini bolt is still intacked
there are numbers on the carrier
410 403 GM61
and i tried to count the teeth. if im right i have 41 on the BIG gear, and 15 on the pinion. so im guessing again that i have a 2:73 posi. i dont know how i came up with the 3:42 in previous message. guess thats just what was in my head since i pulled it out of a $40.00 parts car 17 years ago.

The axle ratio and posi or not, can be found on the axle tube half way between the pumpkin and brake backing plate and facing the front of the car. JB

I'ts on the drivers side exactly where JB says...I used PB Blaster & a small wire brush, found it no problem under similar rust conditions. You'll prob need a nice bright flashlight too.
