Which one did you use? They have 4 different types and each type has at least two variations. It's a bit confusing.

I prefer the black over the silver face. It holds glue better for carpet and does not show if you go up fire walls and such as much as the silver does.

Here you can see where I stopped it going from floor up back seat area.

If you put to much pad under carpet then the tracks don't like to move and end up wearing groves in carpet is what I have found. The Hush mat makes a big difference.

Here is the floor with carpet that came with carpet pad.

What thickness did you use?

I just installed the rear section of the new carpet (from NPD) in my Elco project
Mine still has much of the original insulator stuff on the floors, but I added some other stuff that I had here. The new carpet has padding on it also, so it should be quiet enough for me.
I'm thinking about that stick-on stuff that NPD has, for the doors (?)

I plan to do the entire interior in it. I already ripped up all the old and took a wire wheel to all the bare metal. That stuff was holding a lot of water.

I believe you about the water thing. My body was sand blasted in & out, but I kept & used the old padding.
One thing I did do though, is lay two layers of fibreglass cloth with epoxy resin, on the deep part of the floors where water can collect. I figured it was easier to replace carpet than floors. Very Happy

You ride is going to be QUIET !! Very Happy

I also plan to POR everywhere the carpet will touch. I want to do it right and forget about it.
