hood oriments
are the 77 malibu oriments hard to find and does anyone have any picks?
did they all have them or just the upscale models

Sam they are being reproduced (nice ones) try the parts place. I think they're made by OER (not sure though).

Hmm, did the 77s have a unique one? Seems like I've seen lots of models sporting it but never paid too close of attention. Funny story, mine was lost years ago at my grandparents' place when they owned the car. About a decade later it was found but I own the car so they just gave it to me. It was randomly uncovered in a bunch of dirt, how it ended up there who knows. The outer clear coat was gouged so badly it seemed opaque. I cleaned it up and gave it a new outer coating using clear nail polish, which made it look as good as new. The car as a whole has sentimental value so I wanted to hold onto it. I plan to set it into the dash eventually.

dont know much about it yet just found it on c/l and discription kinda vague
not clear if motor shot or trans shot

76 and 77 were year specific and they can be found on that evil bay place from 89 bucks to the NOS I found for 350 bucks

I got 30 bucks for it and that's it that's all there bringing on evil bay right bay right now anyways unless you find and NOS one and pay 150 for it I know I would not

I have the original hood ornament for my '74 Malibu, but I haven't put it back on since the restoration, because the car cover gets snagged on it, and I don't want it messed up.
