Re: big week end coming
I like all three for different reasons, but I am leaning toward the Monte. I like the one below. Just saw it online and snatched the image. Hope whoever owns it doesn't mind.

Re: big week end coming
The Monte is my favorite of all, but it looks to be the roughest of the three. I'd have to go with the Regal as my choice because of the shape of the Monte Carlo. If you have the skills to fix the Monte, I'd definitely go with that one.

Re: big week end coming
The Monte is the toughest by far needing body and interior redone the cutlass is next with floor pan and leaky windshield the regal just needs interior work and check motor over hasn't been running in a year
Budget wise the Monte and cutlass are almost at the top of the budget and wouldn't leave much to do anything to the car where as the regal is only 1/3 the Budget and would have money for engine swap if nessarry

Re: big week end coming
It is unique for sure. I don't remember the last time I saw one. The later models all the time, but not those.

Re: big week end coming
I saw someone put some Marvel Mystery oil into a motor on TV the other night in a frozen motor. They let it sit over night to soak in, then broke it loose the next day. They were able to get it fired up after that. Might be something to think about before you try to start the motor.

Re: big week end coming
It helps that it was running last year. But I plan to take my time to check it over before starting it

Re: big week end coming
Does the Buick's motor turn over by hand? It's easy to check- I'm sure you know this but if you take out the spark plugs, loosen the Alt & Pwr steering belts & try (or have owner) turn it by hand. All you need is a half inch drive 5/8" socket & breaker bar. It should turn freely if if it's not seized. Good luck.
PS- I voted for the Buick. Even if the motor is seized you can find another on C/L & drop it in. Leaky cars & tons of bodywork are trouble.

Re: big week end coming
Because if he was gonna Drag race it he would use one for motor and one for Electronics ....... Unless the ORIGNAL motor was a 350 Diesel
