Calling Limey...shifter Q
I know your using the cutlass console, found a pic of it. Will the shifter work as well or do we need one from a chevelle or monte?
I THINK it should work, but it looks different, like it rides lower, closer to the trans hump

Cool. Thanks.
Trying to decide whether to use the olds console and shifter or the chevy. I agree with you that the olds is purdier and that little storage box is cool too!

If I still had the green car no question I would have used it IIRC It does block using the ashtray, but I don't smoke so no worries there.

Re: Calling Limey...shifter Q
I had a '77 cutlass console with a Hurst dual gate shifter. When I switched to a Chevy console, I used the rear bracket from a OE shifter (direct bolt on...holes were already on the Hurst ?!). I made a custom upper plate but it all fits. The lower deflector (trans tunnel on floor) needs to be removed to use the olds console, I don't remember a problem with the ashtray though.

Cool vid. Thanks
The olds console I'm looking at just has the curved stock handle. I think it'll bolt on the same as the monte/malibu shifter...right?

Re: Calling Limey...shifter Q
My car was originally a column shift, I never had a OE shifter installed so I can't answer that.
