Your Sprint turned out great! Love the colors you used. I see you are using a late model steering column. How much work was that to install?

Thank you G3chevy!
It's been a while since I did this part. I simply adapted parts of a 05 Silverado column at the end of the column and kept the original stearing. I remember that everything was pretty simple. GM did not change much between 75 and 05!

Tropdeproject......Give us some details on that final dash covering !! Who , how , materials.
Earlier in your thread we saw you working the "raw" dash before final result.

I removed with a knife all "pop-up" cracks. Fill the cracks with Bondo. Solidified everything with 2-3 layers of fiberglass and patch the speaker hole at the same time. I then sanded everything.

Upholstery;
I am lucky to have a father who had for 40 years his upholstery shop.
-Cover everything with 1/4 inch foam.
-We used motorcycle, ATV, cars and boat upholstery material. It's look the same than leather but it is really easy to stretch and has a very good UV resistance.

I really like to put a personal custom touch on what i make. Here, I made a black brushed stainless steel insert.

This winter, we will do the same work on the door, seats and the center console. The stainless steel insert, will come back in the doors and the center console.

Love that throwback photo! It was beautiful back then and now its a whole different kind of beautiful! Also, from the research I've done there are only a little over 300 SP Sprints made in 1975. Very rare vehicle.

320 SP in 75, 43 with the 454! The number of SP in Canada was probably less than 100 and less more in Quebec?

Amazing work you've done! The door panels look awesome! Love the opened up storage compartment and fabricated instrument cluster bezel too!

Had no idea you could polish stainless like that. That is truly excellent craftsmanship!
