They scrapped a lot of cars years ago, these were just the olds tai lights they kept..

They had dozens of school busses each filled with heads, carbs, distributors, rear ends laying everywhere. Ran out of time, but it's only 20 minutes away, we'll be back again.

LOTS of fun! There were remnants of cars everywhere, basically stuff that fell off of, or out of the car before they picked it up to crush them. Old ones made way for new ones. There's still at least 100 cars left from the 50s-70s, scattered throughout. Pieces of many hundreds more just laying about. They have at least 6 -10 buildings that are filled with parts. Can't even walk into them, they're so packed. One heck of an experience. The 73 is toasty on the inside., you're right though, useable stuff left on it for sure. I was tripping over frames, motors, transmissions. Be going back, have a couple more new ones to check out first!

*raises eyebrow*

Did somebody say "ROAD TRIP"? LOL!

I've LOVE to go to that place ... that '73 & those El Caminos!  Wonder why that '73 is in there ... certainly it could be a restoration project?

The 73.... It needs an entire interior, hood, trunk lid, doors, fenders are rotted. Needs quarters, trunk floor, floor, frame is rotted. Looks much better than it is.
