Junkyard Laguna
Top of a frozen day to you. Today I got in a junkyard I spotted this weekend. It had stuff everywhere. I went in and asked the man if they had any Lagunas. To my surprise, he said he had one. I walked around in the snow, back by the pond, behind the Ford van with a fallen tree on it, and found a 1975 silver Laguna S3. It had the nose pulled off and sitting to the side. I have been in junkyards all over the country and I only know of a few of them that still have a Laguna. Who knows where other Lagunas are?

Re: Junkyard Laguna
I got a roof off of a 75 Laguna, Feezles on the Ohio/Pa border.
It was in really nice shape, needed floors and quarters.....and now a roof!

Re: Junkyard Laguna
At one time a couple yrs ago, I had access to five S-3's (including the one I bought) scattered among three yards. Sadly, all but one have been crushed (besides the one I saved)...but, not before I pulled most useable parts off them. Here's the survivor...a silver '75 that has donated it's black interior to my project.

Re: Junkyard Laguna
Anyone went front a flat nose front end to the slant nose style and noticed a difference in fuel consumption?

Re: Junkyard Laguna
That is so sad seeing these cars getting crushed. These yards don't want to sell you the entire car. They have gotten so rare. If I had a chainsaw I would try to rescue this one. That being said, it has nothing at all worth anything.

Re: Junkyard Laguna
I swapped a 76 Laguna nose on my 75 more door and got amazing gas mileage......when it was parked!......and that one time it got towed!

Re: Junkyard Laguna
Best way to save gas for your car is to drive a Chevette.
(anybody else remember Chevettes?)

Re: Junkyard Laguna
There's an auto mechanic around town here that still drives one.
As far as the junkyard, in the last 5 years I have found exactly 1 four door 77 malibu and 1 75 Monte.

Re: Junkyard Laguna
There is a old yard near me (the kind where there are trees growing through engine compartments) they have a lot of old cars although very little usable stuff remains. Â There is even a '57 Chevy 4 door that looks like it was a hot rod a looong time ago.

Re: Junkyard Laguna
Any of you guys get up here to MN and I'll take you out to a couple of yards that will blow you away! One of these is very active in getting in fresh stock of old cars. It makes Desert Valley (AZ) look like child's play.
Speaking of hot rods, here are two Gassers that passed through in the last year or so. "Dog Catcher" had a national following and was sold/shipped over to Sweden. Not sure what happened to the Nova SS.
