How big of a job is changing the heater core on a 73 Chevelle?

easier with dash and engine out. thats when Chris did mine.
dont know how hard with both in.

If it doesn't have a/c its a pretty easy job.  I am not familiar with a air conditioning equipped car.

FWIW, I didn't swap the heater core in mine, but I did pull everything apart in order to swap to Vintage Air.  The core is accessible from inside the cabin (no need to do anything under the hood except disconnect the lines), but IIRC you will have to pull most of the HVAC stuff under the passenger side of the dash apart to get at it.
