COREYS73CHEVELLE.
1973 chevelle malibu 2 door.
Original block and trans/matching numbers. th-350 trans. restoration for daily driver in progress. stock 2.73 gears
350ci .30 over extrude honed and 2.02 heads poted and polished, 222/447cam, aluminum pistons, forged rods, edelbrock 750cfm on weiand high rise dual plane intake, flowtech short headers, 2.5inch dual exhaust and more.
-stock interior with minimal wear, 200,000miles on the car when started resoring/purchased.
the motor was built when i got it and only had 100miles on it, but the previous owner made some mistakes!, first i changed the carb to get it to run right he had a marine holley and it would not fit with any adapter. then i got an edelbrock on it and it was better but i set the timing and heard a (rod knock)? but i tore it apart and when i took off the oil pan 2 bolts fell out in the bottom of the pan, i looked and they were main cap bolts! good thing i found out before it blew up and threw a rod or something, but it did blow a head gasket, or maybe thats becuase he had the entire bottle of gasket sealer on the head gaskets, both sides of each gasket

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
took the driveshaft to school today to get the u-joints out and put new ones in. teacher showed me how. wow these style are a pain.
heat the u-joint and pound it out after all the plastic melts out.

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
took the winshield out in one peice it craked all over but didnt break. smoothed out around it and painted, also cleaned up the VIN tag and will put it back in with a good clear coat on it.
got line lock for the car, and 2 new racing bucket seats with harnesses for the drivers side. smoothed out the passanger side of the firewall with a 1/16" pc of sheetmetal, got a fuel pressure regulator, and fuel pressure guage hooked up and it looks really good, took out the old fuel lines and will get a new bigger one in when i get a chance. got my electric fan hooked up to the car not wired in yet though.

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
OK, I'm confused. It looks like you've got a killer car in the works, but can you please tell me what intake you're running? In the first post you said Edelbrock Air Gap, then Torker, then I see a pic with a Weiand intake.
Kudos on scoring parts cheap
That's how to get er done!

Re: COREYS73CHEVELLE.
ill change that...the car had an edelbrock torker on it, and i WAS going to get an air gap for it BUT i got a deal for a brand new weiand that is the same as the airgap for performance so i got it instead.
