Re: Where are you at picture
The Brake Booster and Master Cylinder are from Master Power Brakes in Mooresville, NC. The Wilwood Brakes are individual kits for the front and rear. You will need to modify the front spindle to install the front kit. I have the 6 Piston kit on the front and the 4 piston kit on the rear. I did not do the 2 piece rotors I did the 1 piece kit. I ordered the brakes from Summit Racing.

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. The Wilwood brakes themselves are a front kit and a rear kit. I then purchased the master cylinder separate. The booster is stock. I had originally bought the brakes for my 1970 Camaro but I sold that project and put them on my Laguna. I also added SS brake lines front and rear. I have Wilwood brakes on my 1986 Silverado truck and my 2001 SS Camaro. They are a little expensive but they make a great product. Here is a link to look at. You can ask me any questions that you want. That’s what we are here for.

Re: Where are you at picture
Thanks ill look into it. Im not interested in using Big calipers cause then ill need bigger wheels and all that. Im just trying to make my Stock setup work proberly. Im just tired of buying parts new that dont work when i get them. I just installed a new refurbished booster, and it dont work right, and im on my 4 th mastercylinder cause they start leaking.
Ill look into the master/ booster kit and see what i can find. Thank you for all your help.

Re: Where are you at picture
Master Power is a good place for you to go to. The original setup I had on my car was the factory calipers on the front and Master Powers disc setup on the rear with their Brake Booster and Master Cylinder setup with a new proportioning valve.

Woohoo, road trip!!!
Love that 73 Chevelle! Got a 6 speed and being blue doesn't hurt either!

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. It was a great day! Â g3chevy stopped by and we got the Laguna running!!!!! Â He figured out that I had a regular distributor cap, not the cross fire cap that I paid for. After a lot of soul searching we finally got it fired up. And WOW, does it sound amazing. Of course I still don’t have the exhaust system installed yet so my neighborhood was treated to the sound of an open header Big Block Chevrolet. We also finished the install of the power window switch and function tested that. Check out a picture of the console mounted power windows. by the way, the car didn’t come with power windows so we had to upgrade everything. Thank you very much g3chevy. You’re the best!!!

Yeah, that beast made us work for it today! But the payoff was 10 fold! My chest is still vibrating from that 8.1 and those open headers!

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. It took a lot of physical work today but I was able to get the Laguna off the dollies and onto the ground for the first time in about 3 years. I cranked it up and drove it outside. The clutch and six speed felt good on my 10 foot first drive ever in the car. I gave it its first bath in a few years and it looks menacing in my drive way. I hope to get the exhaust system installed this week and I also need a front end alignment, as well as a lot of other things, but it moved on its own. I bought this bare shell of a car about 8 years ago. It has never run since I have owned it. Today is a good day. I really want to thank g3chevy for all of his help. I can’t wait to drive this car all over Texas. Now for some pictures!

HECK YEAH!!! SCORE!!! Seeing that beast in the driveway makes me feel like I actually earned some of that pizza! Can't wait to put together a rod run this summer! Already have an idea of a great route that would be a blast for you to drive your Laguna on. So far we've got 3 other guys committed. So keep your calendar open!

Re: Where are you at picture
Today I was wet sanding in the rain. I started with 1200 and then moved on to 1500. I have knocked out all of the scuff marks and over spray as well as ridding the car of a slightly ruff finish. I will go over the car with 2000 but I don’t think it will get any better. I ram just trying to do the best with what I have. I will do a cut and buff and call it good. Tomorrow my alignment spacers will arrive and I am going to get it close enough to drive it down to the alignment shop.

Looking good my friend! Did you get the exhaust done already? Or are you gonna play like NASCAR when driving it to the alignment shop lol?

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. No exhaust yet. I have been using my trailer to move out of my storage unit. I hope to drop it off midweek.

Re: Where are you at picture
Big day for the Laguna. The car is now at the muffler shop getting the 3” oval X-Pipe exhaust installed. When I get it back I finally get to start it up and do a little tuning. I still need to get the front end alignment done and I have a small punch list of items to address, but, after 8 years the car is almost ready. I’m just a little pumped.

Dang, you are so close! Post a video when you get it back from the muffler shop. We have to hear that thing running.

Greatwood! That is a good looking exhaust setup. It will be fun to put some miles on that machine.

Re: Where are you at picture
I wonder which one is going to be louder, my Camaro or the Laguna? Next time you come over we can crank them both up in the garage. I’m sure my neighbors will love that.

Re: Where are you at picture
I'm betting on the Laguna. Shorter exhaust and bigger displacement. But only one way to find out. It will be just like in the movie Deliverance. Except we'll be dueling with much more sophisticated instruments.
