Re: Where are you at picture
It's raining here today so I did a garage car wash. 4 years of storage dirt gone. I am so very pumped.

Unfortunately, the intake manifold and distributor had to come to back out to cause another delay. It should still be on track for a Christmas break finish though.

Re: Where are you at picture
Looks like its getting serious now! If I did that at my house my wife would beat me like a red-headed stepchild. Even if she didtn't, the dogs or the kids would knock that over within 30 seconds!
Anyways....I think I have some catching up to do. I went from this.....

Wow. Drop it like it's hot. My daughter is red headed and she did have some questions about car parts on a ladder in the house. My dog did raise his leg at the ladder but I stopped him in time. My wife did say "Get that out of here!!!"

CSB: My friend was looking to buy a house, and in one of them, you could tell it was owned by a bachelor 'cuz there was a vise mounted to the coffee table.

Re: Where are you at picture
Wow Mud55, that's a pretty car. I just drove through Bryan last week and the DPS pulled me over for my trailer being expired. It was 8:00 in the morning and it was cold. I had left work in Gallup New Mexico at 4:00 and drove all night just to "talk" with him. I saw the sunset in Albuquerque and the sunrise in Bryan. Long, long day. I would like to see your car one day.

Re: Where are you at picture
That's a great job. Well done. Love the wheels as well. I am putting together the stereo so I can install the rear of the interior. I made some brackets to hold my Kicker 6X9's at an angle and add a little flair. I did the sides of the boxes in white to contrast with the black deck lid covering. More to come.

Re: Where are you at picture
Ok, a little more.

Finished with the brackets and installed some Stinger sound deading

Made up the RCA cables and amp turn on wire (not pictured) and installed. Be sure to label each end to save time later.

Now to fit these old school monsters. Kicker 800.4 and a Kicker 1200.1

Re: Where are you at picture
Looking good Kevin! What are you using for your sound insulation? I've got to start on mine soon but don't want to pay for Dynamat.

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey Bill. The car already had some off brand sound mat in it. I like to use Stinger brand so the new stuff is from them. No real reason. I don’t know which one is really better so piece of mind thinking on my part. I have a hook up with a car audio wholesaler off Harwin and they sell “my brand”. I have to go out of town for all of this month so I had to stop. When I get back I need to kidnap you and get you to help me cut the hole for the AC.

Sounds good Kevin. Just let me know when and I'll head down there with your license plate light bezels.

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. I just got back in town and had a few minutes to work on the car. I made a template out of cardboard, cut some partical board, and almost finished the package tray. I will do final trim in the morning and cover in black. Then I can start putting in the rear part of the interior.

Re: Where are you at picture
Hey. I sold some of my stuff and I ordered my carburetor today. I have been researching this for awhile and the exact one that I had settled on came up for sale. It is a Holley 950 Street HP. It has all the feature I need for a street car and will supply the 496 with almost everything it needs. I'm just a little pumped to say the least...

Re: Where are you at picture
Whoa! That's the mother of all carbs. You may want to reinforce your air filter system so you don't suck in any low flying birds lol.

LOL. Now I am looking for a starter. I need to sell some more things.

Re: Where are you at picture
This is the starter I've been running on my cars for almost 8 years now. There are not susceptible to heat soak from headers and they will turn over most high compression motors like yours. And the price is right. I've had one on my Laguna for about 5 years with no issues.

Re: Where are you at picture
Man that is a low price. What I need the most I guess is a bell housing, flywheel, maybe clutch. I have the clutch that I was going to use in my Camaro but I need to see if it will work. When I get these items I can put the engine and trans in the car. Once I do this I can see how I will need to modify the floor for some 6-Speed clearance. After that, I can put the entire interior back in. This will really make some space in my little garage.

Yes. I just brought the AC stuff home today. I am ready to cut it in if you are game.
