Re: Update :1973 Monte Carlo Body off frame resto. Now with LS!
Just like you G3....I had to "find" the source of the noise after the event.
Thought it was a collapsed lifter.....went through that process.....nope! Noise still persists.
Then , thought it was the notorious LS flexplate issue.....removed transmission , replaced it....nope! Noise still persists. ( all this in a two car garage and me under the car working away......me the bottom side of the car got pretty intimate!!)
Then I tore off the front accessories and the timing cover.
Evident at that point ......motor has to come out!

Hi Guys ,
Earlier in the year when I had the car dyno'd after the LS swap , I commented that the Supercharger was not able to output / create boost at its capability due to not having enough "belt wrap" on the Supercharger (page 5 May 17th entry). The picture of that can be seen within my post on Sept 30,2021 ( also page 5) below.

After the recommendation of the tuner to get more "belt" on the Supercharger pulley and after a little piece of the power tour I went to work creating another pulley in the system to get more "belt" on the surface area of the pulley. It is the smallest of the three pulleys in this picture.

The addition has made a difference per my boost gauge I installed in dash (page 4, May 12, 2018 entry).
As the engine now sits in car.

This season I have put about 1600 miles on the new set-up.
Some pictures below of the last time out this year.

Thank you Limey!
According to how tight I get the belt…I’ve seen 8lbs.
Reducing the belt tension for reliability of the other pulleys in my system …consistent 6 lbs.
I know this is rather low in comparison to boost levels seen with other builds… (turbos).
But, its just enough to make me wonder…what would it be like with more! It's a little addictive.

You have really outdone yourself Mark! The detail in the engineering you did under your hood is bad azz! Are you planning to do Power Tour again with this beast? Love to see it in person.

Hey G3'rs ,
 Changed front tire size . Nitto 285 40 18 . Model NT 555 G2.
 Diameter approx. 27"
Width ...per NITTO. As inflated 11.42" .
 No touch...but close.
Rims are 18 x 9.5" with 1MM offset to the rear of rim.
Brought car down another 1" with these.....now cant get roll around jack under the front cross member without adding a step...drive up on 2 x12's.

Very Nice work!!
Question: Looks like you are using a POA eliminator for the A/C? Â Any feedback on it? Any vendor that you recommend?
Thanks

Thanks Limey & 73ss.
73ss,
I have been using the POA update kit assembly since 2016 with no issues. I purchased it from Old Air Products to convert my system to 134A.
